- Create your SOAPsuds accountGo to the sign-up page and choose Continue with Google, Microsoft or Apple, or Sign up with email. With email, you type a 6-digit code we send you, and your first 20 notes are free with no card needed.
- Accept the BAA when you sign upIf you use SOAPsuds on your own, you accept the Business Associate Agreement (BAA) when you sign up, with the same tick box as the Terms of service. You can read it again any time in Settings › Account, where BAA record shows what was saved.
- Your first visit in five minutesOn New visit, type the patient's first name or initials, pick In person, and press Start recording. Press End recording when the visit is over; the draft note opens by itself, and you review it, mark it reviewed and use Copy full note to paste it into your EHR.
- Try the sample note firstThe sample note shows a note SOAPsuds wrote from a short visit with a fictional patient, so you can see the result before you see a real patient. Open it from New visit with See a sample note; it doesn't use any of your notes.
- Pick your specialty and default templateRight after sign-up, SOAPsuds asks your role and specialty, then the name you sign notes with; your specialty picks your sample visit and starting template. Change your specialty later in Settings › Account, and your default template on Templates with Make default.
- Using SOAPsuds on your phoneOpen SOAPsuds in your phone's browser and sign in with the same account you use on a computer. You can record in-person visits, upload recordings, and review and copy notes; telehealth visits need a computer.
- Joined from an invite? Start hereOpen the link in your invite email, check your name, create a password and choose Get started. Your practice has already set up your plan and the BAA, so there's nothing to pay or sign.
- A quick tour of Home, Visits and SettingsThe menu on the left (behind the three-line button on a phone) holds everything: New visit to record, Visits for your notes, Templates, Settings, Subscription and Support. Practice admins and office managers see their own pages instead.
