What each role can do
| Role | Starts on | Can see and do | Uses a seat |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clinician | New visit | Records visits. Sees their own visits, notes and transcripts. Adds their own templates. Sees their own activity in Settings›Activity. | Yes |
| Practice admin | Home | Adds and removes people on Team. Sees seats, plan and the BAA in Settings›Practice. Where your practice has Practice visits, opens visits there to see who recorded them, when, and their codes; otherwise sees each clinician's visit counts only. Sees the whole practice's activity. Can look at templates but not change them. | No |
| Practice admin and clinician | New visit | Everything a clinician and a practice admin can do. Practice is in the menu after Visits. | Yes |
| Office staff | Referrals | Sends the practice's referrals and marks them sent. Never sees visits or notes. Has no Activity tab. | No |
Where does an office manager fit?
It depends on the job. An office manager who runs the team, seats and paperwork is usually the practice admin. An office manager who only sends referrals is office staff. Office staff are only available if your practice has referral capture.
Who sees note text
A practice admin who doesn't record visits does not see note text or transcripts by default. Our team can turn notes on for your practice. Settings›Practice shows what you can see under Who can see what.
Every time someone opens, changes, copies or downloads a visit, it is recorded in Settings›Activity, including our support team.
Changing a role
