Keep your account secure

Use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else, sign out when you share a computer, and keep your email account safe, because sign-in codes and password resets go there. SOAPsuds also signs you out after an hour without activity.

Use a strong password

Your SOAPsuds password needs at least 8 characters, a capital letter, a number and a symbol like #, and no spaces. Use one you don’t use for anything else.

  1. Open your account. Go to Settings›Account.
  2. Change your password. Next to Password, press Change and follow the steps.

Forgot it? On the sign-in page choose Forgot password?. We email a 6-digit code to you, then you set a new password.

Protect your email

Codes to verify your email, reset your password or delete your account are sent to your sign-in email. Anyone who can read that inbox could use them, so keep it secure too. If you sign in with Google, Microsoft or Apple, keep that account secure.

On a shared computer

  • Sign out when you finish: open the menu with your name at the top right and choose Sign out.
  • Don’t let the browser save your password on a computer others use.
  • If a visit hasn’t finished uploading, SOAPsuds asks before you sign out and tells you how long the visit is kept on that device.

Automatic sign-out

To protect patient information, SOAPsuds signs you out after an hour without activity. Two minutes before, a box says You’ll be signed out soon with a countdown. Press Stay signed in to keep working. SOAPsuds doesn’t sign you out while a visit is recording or uploading.

Check your sign-ins

Settings›Activity lists your sign-ins and anyone else who opened your visits. If something looks wrong, change your password and email support@soapsuds.io or call +1 (703) 496 3202.
