Cookies and analytics

We measure a small number of steps that new clinicians take while getting started, such as creating an account and starting a first visit. No patient details, visit text or note text are ever sent to analytics.

What we measure

We want to know where new clinicians get stuck, so we count a short, fixed list of steps:

  • On the sign-in, create-account, email-code and password screens: which steps were completed. Before you sign in, these are anonymous.
  • After you sign in, only while you are getting started: onboarding, Home, the sample note, Templates and Plans, up to the moment your first real visit starts. After that, nothing more is sent from that device.

What is never sent

  • Patient names, visit details, transcripts or note text.
  • Anything you type, including template text.
  • Your email address or name.
  • Visit ids or invite links.

Visits, notes, Settings and the practice screens are never measured, because they show patient information.

Cookies

SOAPsuds uses a cookie to keep you signed in. The signed-out screens (sign in, create account, codes and password reset) also load a web analytics tool. It doesn’t run once you’re signed in.

If you are asked about analytics by your practice or a patient, you can say that SOAPsuds doesn’t send patient information to analytics.

Still need help?

Email support@soapsuds.io or send us a message. Please don't include patient names or details; the visit date and time is enough for us to find it.

Spend less time on notes, more time with patients.
